Visa fees

Yesterday, new visa fees were approved by The Directorate General of Passports, going into effect as of today, October 2nd 2016.

Back in August we broke the news that Saudi visit visas were likely to change. But we can now confirm the details of how they have changed and how this will affect you..

The new visit visas offered, though more expensive, reduce the logistical burden for foreign companies through increased durations available (now up to 2 years) and also increased periods allowed in the Kingdom per trip (now up to 90 days).

Additional fees have been added by the Saudi government at the foreign (non Saudi) side of the process i.e. your local visa agent’s price will increase. However AEI’s visit visa process remains unchanged and the price of our visa letter of invitation remains SR900 per letter.

There are now three options available for the visit visa duration requests. These are as follows (including the expected cost increase at your local visa agent):

  • 6 month multi entry visit visa, 30 days per entry.
  • 1 year multi entry visit visa, 90 days per entry.
  • 2 year multi entry visit visa, 90 days per entry.
  • US nationals: A special 5 year, 180 days per entry visit visa is available*.

UPDATE: (18th Oct 2016)

We can now confirm that the various additional fees payable at the foreign (non Saudi) side of the process depend on the applicant’s nationality. The following table outlines the differences:
