Last month, Stuart D’Souza, CEO of Arabian Enterprise Incubators, spoke to David James from UK Export Advice about defence, security and aerospace in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In the interview, Stuart discussed the latest developments in the Saudi economy, such as the recently announced “Vision 2030”, that will offer major opportunities for UK expertise and innovation.

Saudi Arabia has the fourth largest defence market in the world and is the second largest market accessible to UK exporters. The Kingdom’s latest transformation programme is about opening up to foreign investment, and privatising government-owned facilities, to create a progressive and a proactive economy. The plan also applies to other major sectors such as oil & gas, mining, education, and healthcare.

Saudi Arabia can be a difficult market, but with the right guidance and the correct approach it becomes obvious how rewarding it is to engage in the Kingdom. AEI have helped over 200 companies access the Saudi market, by providing advice, infrastructure and life support services that help British companies make a successful entry.
