The Crown Prince and de facto ruler of Saudi Arabia, Mohammad bin Salman (MbS), took part in a CBS ’60 Minutes’ interview on Sunday where he was questioned on Iran, Jamal Khashoggi and the treatment of human rights activists in the Kingdom. MbS reiterated that a political response to the alleged Iranian attacks on Saudi oil production facilities was the preferred option. This was repeated by the Foreign Minister, Ibrahim Al Assaf, who stated that financial pressure was the best way to control Iran. In other news, Saudi Arabia has announced a SR100 billion tourism plan to coincide with the introduction of tourist visas, which is reported to include the region’s largest indoor ski slope and snow park.
