In the chef de partie role, you will chop, mix, and make entrees, sauces, or side dishes with another kitchen worker in your section. You will also manage the inventory of raw ingredients and waste disposal. You will ensure compliance with the highest quality, hygiene, and health standards. Success in this role will be demonstrated by delivering and developing dishes to expand restaurant clientele, improve reputation, attract new customers, and increase profits.
Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include:

Work on a shift basis – 48 hours a week.

Setting up the kitchen before the restaurant opens.
-
Preparing a particular kitchen station by bringing all food containers to a point in the line.

Cooking a specific portion of each plated meal.
-
Assisting with marinating, cutting, and precooking foods.
-
Cleaning the kitchen before the restaurant closes.
-
Cleaning and sanitizing their area with warm water and soap.
-
Wrapping unused items and storing them in proper areas at the end of a shift.

Plating food creatively and maximizing customer enjoyment.

To work independently and with minimum supervision.

Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of culinary experience

Culinary training or apprenticeship certification a plus

Knowledge of menu creation

Able to maintain cost and quality standards.

Excellent communication skills
-
Proven culinary catering talent.

Able to work effectively under pressure.
-
Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts or related field
-
Internal: Compound Manager, Deputy Compound Manager, Facilities Manager, Head Chef,
Restaurant Manager.External: Compound residents and visitors.
