This week it was announced Saudi Arabia’s net foreign direct investment saw a quarter-on-quarter rise of 37%. Data released by the General Authority of Statistics showed that the figure – which reflects the net investment gain for the Kingdom after accounting for both inbound and outbound activities – reached SR16 billion ($4.27 billion) over the period. The surge was primarily attributed to a significant decline in FDI outflows, which dropped by 74.36% during this period to reach SR2 billion.

In other news, Saudi Arabia has witnessed a massive surge in commercial registrations as the Kingdom’s business sector thrives. The Ministry of Commerce released its quarterly business sector bulletin for the fourth quarter of 2024, as it highlights significant growth and development within the Kingdom’s business landscape. The report reveals a substantial 67% increase in new commercial registrations issued during the fourth quarter compared to the same period last year.
